Our Banking and Insurance Department at the university offers a rich educational program aimed at students aspiring to pursue careers in finance broadly, and specifically in banking and insurance sectors, with a contemporary educational approach. The department is committed to providing a comprehensive curriculum for both academic careers and post-graduation job opportunities. Our goal is for graduates to acquire all necessary knowledge and skills in both theoretical and practical domains.
In addition to fundamental knowledge in banking and insurance, our curriculum includes compulsory courses in economics, law, and informatics. These courses enable students to deepen their sector-specific knowledge and gain a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, legislation, and technological advancements.
The department integrates practical applications alongside theoretical knowledge. Students have opportunities to gain practical experience through voluntary internships, participation in TEKNOFEST and TÜBİTAK projects, and engage in current business practices and project experiences. Furthermore, our curriculum includes a CO-OP education model in the 8th semester, allowing students to gain real work experience in the business world before graduation.
Through collaborations with leading firms in the banking and insurance sectors, our students have opportunities to enter the industry while still completing their education. We aim to enhance students’ sector-specific knowledge and experiences through organized seminars, conferences, and career days. Our competitive education program will equip students to meet the demands of global financial markets.
Moreover, through Erasmus and Farabi programs, we offer students the opportunity to gain international experience by studying abroad in different countries.
After graduation, our students will have extensive job opportunities in both public and private sectors. Various career prospects exist in banks, insurance companies, investment firms, and financial consulting companies. Positions are also available within the operations and representations of international financial institutions and multinational corporations in Turkey.
