Dear Prospective Students,
As the Department of Banking and Insurance (BSB), we aim to provide a modern and comprehensive education to every student aspiring to build a career in the finance sector. Our department equips students with a rich curriculum encompassing fundamental knowledge in banking and insurance, as well as disciplines such as economics, law, and informatics. These courses deepen students’ sector-specific knowledge and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, legislation, and technological advancements.
Our education not only includes theoretical knowledge but also practical applications. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through internships and our CO-OP education model. Through the CO-OP program, students can acquire 14 weeks of real work experience in companies and institutions starting from the summer following their third year.
Our university will foster strong collaborations with leading firms in the banking and insurance sectors, providing students with opportunities to gain sector-specific experience while continuing their education. Additionally, we support students in enhancing their professional knowledge and skills through seminars, conferences, and career days.
The department aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to actively participate in national and international financial markets. Programs such as Erasmus and Farabi offer students the opportunity to study abroad and gain a global perspective.
Upon graduation, our alumni will find career opportunities in private and public financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, investment firms, and financial consulting companies, as well as regulatory and supervisory bodies in the private and public insurance industry. Positions are also available in the operations of international financial institutions and multinational corporations in Turkey. Our department is committed to providing students with the necessary tools to embark on successful careers in the business world.
