Our university’s Department of Banking and Insurance offers, with a contemporary approach to education, a rich educational program for students who wish to pursue careers in finance in general and in the banking and insurance sector in particular. The department starts out with a comprehensive curriculum for both academic careers and post-graduation employment opportunities. Our goal is for our graduates to acquire all the knowledge and skills needed in both theoretical and practical fields.
In our department, alongside basic knowledge in banking and insurance, economics, law and information technology courses are also compulsory. These courses enable our students to deepen their sectoral knowledge and gain a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, legislation and technological developments.
The Department of Banking and Insurance also includes practical applications alongside theoretical knowledge. Through voluntary internship opportunities and TEKNOFEST and TÜBİTAK project work, our students will have the chance to gain experience in current business practices in the sector and project experience. In addition, with the CO-OP education model included in the curriculum as an 8th-semester course, our students will gain real work experience in the business world. With the CO-OP program, our students will have the opportunity to start working life before graduating.
Thanks to the partnerships we have made or will make with leading firms in the banking and insurance sector, our students will have the opportunity to step into the sector while still continuing their education. Through the seminars, conferences and career days we organize, we aim to increase our students’ sectoral knowledge and experience. Our competitive education program will equip our students in line with the demands of global financial markets. In addition, through the Erasmus and Farabi programs, we offer our students the opportunity to study in different countries and gain international experience.
After graduation, our students will have broad job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. There are wide career opportunities at various institutions such as banks, insurance companies, investment firms and financial advisory companies. Positions will also be available at international financial institutions and within the representative offices and operations of multinational companies in Turkey. Our department aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for our students to play an active role in national and global financial markets.

The various international conferences we hold every year give our students the opportunity to meet sector leaders and build networks.
